Back to School Backpack Giveaway 2026
About the event
Berkshire Money Management will partner with the Berkshire Eagle once again to help local students prepare for the new school year.
While supplies last, children and their families may claim a free backpack and school supplies at 75 South Church Street, Pittsfield, MA. Each child must be present to receive a backpack.
NEW FOR 2026
Backpack pickup at the Berkshire Eagle parking lot in Pittsfield ONLY.
Unlike last year, there will be NO BACKPACK PICKUP IN DALTON OR GREAT BARRINGTON.
To support students in our home communities, Berkshire Money Management will provide backpacks directly to Berkshire Hills, Central Berkshire, and Mount Greylock regional school districts for distribution to students in need at the start of the school year. Our aim in making this change is to help school supplies reach the students who need them, regardless of their parent or guardian’s ability to drive to a pickup location at a set date and time.
If your child is enrolled in Berkshire Hills, Central Berkshire, or Mount Greylock regional school district, please direct all questions to your school.
