00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:05.430
Politics and geopolitics are having a
major emotional effect on investors,

00:00:05.880 --> 00:00:10.080
whether it's media coverage,
social media, television, media.

00:00:10.350 --> 00:00:13.680
There, there's so many outlets that
people feel inundated with a broad

00:00:13.680 --> 00:00:17.820
spectrum of opinions and depending
on how you align with those opinions,

00:00:17.820 --> 00:00:19.830
it can create a very strong feeling.

00:00:20.070 --> 00:00:25.800
My job as an advisor in that emotional
decision making is to be a firewall.

00:00:26.040 --> 00:00:29.100
Sometimes during crisis, people
get very short in their thinking.

00:00:29.535 --> 00:00:33.175
Literally hour to hour, day to day,
and just trying to broaden that

00:00:33.175 --> 00:00:36.495
thinking beyond that into something
a little more long term because

00:00:36.495 --> 00:00:41.355
in fact, 99% of my clients have
money invested for the long term.

00:00:41.565 --> 00:00:44.835
Helping to kind of
separate fact from fiction.

00:00:44.835 --> 00:00:45.885
What influences your money?

00:00:45.885 --> 00:00:47.144
What doesn't influence your money?

00:00:47.474 --> 00:00:50.325
Can have a really calming and
reassuring effect on people.

00:00:50.535 --> 00:00:53.385
In my work, personal
connections are so important.

00:00:53.805 --> 00:00:57.555
The better I know the person I'm working
with, the better I can help them through

00:00:57.555 --> 00:00:58.995
anything that life throws their way.

00:00:59.400 --> 00:01:00.690
No matter how big or how small.

00:01:00.720 --> 00:01:03.150
Knowing that I make a difference
in people's lives, knowing that

00:01:03.150 --> 00:01:08.160
they call me sometimes a complete
mess, sometimes crying, confused,

00:01:08.580 --> 00:01:14.610
angry, and that I can take that and
I can turn that into a feeling of

00:01:14.610 --> 00:01:18.360
confidence, clarity, security, comfort.

00:01:18.960 --> 00:01:21.650
That's the magic of what I do,
and that's why I love what I do.
